Currently: Cadet Commander at AL-117, Vice Chair for Alabama Wing CAC, and Cadet Deputy Commander for the 2009 Alabama/Mississippi Wing Summer Encampment.
CAP CAREER Cadet Ernest has been in CAP for almost five years. Each year since he joined he has either attended or staffed the Alabama FTX cycle. He attended his basic encampment at Fort Rucker in 2004, he has staffed two encampments since then, and this will be his fourth encampment. He has also attended the Aircraft Manufacturing and Maintenance Academy, in 2005; the National Emergency Services Academy, in 2006 and 2007, both as student and staff; the Cadet Officer School, in 2008; and this summer will be attending the Pararescue Orientation Course.
Cadet Ernest has also been active in both his squadron and at the wing level. He has served or is serving as: Cadet Commander at his home squadron, Vice Chair on the wing CAC, Cadet Commander at Airman Leadership Weekend, Cadet CAC Primary Representative on the Alabama Wing CAC, and has staffed other wing activities. He was on the team that won the 2008 Iron Man Competition, and has commanded a Color Guard at Alabama Wing Cadet Competition. He is rated as a Ground Team Member 1, as well as Mission Radio Operator, Skills Evaluator Test, and Mission Staff Assistant.
EDUCATION C/Maj Ernest is home schooled, is currently a senior in Hope Christian School, and is graduating Valedictorian for the class of 2009. He has earned a full scholarship to Auburn University of Montgomery, and is planning on pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, with a possible double major in Psychology. He goal is to go on to become an FBI Special Agent, with the ultimate goal of serving in the FBI Hostage Rescue Team.
